Objective:To study the correlation between left ventricular structure and function abnormalities and cerebral infarction. Explore the risk factors of the cerrbral infarction patients with abnormal left ventricular structure and function.Methods:100cases of acute cerebral infarction patients and100healthy subjects were included in this study. Blood pressure, lipids, glucose, serum brain natriuretic peptide (BNP)levels, left ventricular and aortic root diameter and other parameters were recorded. The differences of the two sets of data were analyzed. Results:Patients with cerebral infarction group,low-density lipoprotein(LDL-C), triglyceride(TG) levels were significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.01, P<0.05). Patients with cerebral infarction group,Systolic and diastolic blood pressure were significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.01). Patients with cerebral infarction group, Aortic root diameter, left ventricular posterior wall thickness, interventricular septum thickness, left ventricular mass index were higher than that of control group(P<0.01).The stoke volume, cardiac output and ejection fraction in infarction group were lower than those in control group (P<0.05~0.01).In infafction group BNP quantitatively higher that in control group(P<0.05). cerebral infarction group E/A ratio lower than control group(P<0.05). In infafction group left ventricular posterior wall, interventricular septum thickness increased, the expansion of the aortic diameter, ejection fraction and E/A ratio decreased and BNP quantitative increase in occurrence was higher than in control group(P<0.05~0.01). Multiple regression analysis showed that quantitive increase in BNP, left ventricular posterior wall thickness, interventricular septum thickness, and reduced ejection fraction were independent predictors of cerebral infarction.(P<0.05).Conclusion:Abnormal cardiac structure and function were significantly correlated with cerebal infarction. The study data show that the two may be a causal relationship.that quantitive increase in BNP, left ventricular posterior wall thickness, interventricular septum thickness, and reduced ejection fraction were independent predictors of cerebral infarction. Actively adjust the way of life, the reasonable control of blood pressure to prevent myocardiac remodeling and heart dysfunction of great importance for the prevention of cerebral infaction.
