Objective To explore the clinical value of color Doppler ultrasound in diagnosis and preoperative staging of renal cell carcinoma(RCC).Methods 112 suspected cases of RCC were examined by gray scale ultrasound and color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI). Preoperative staging was made based on Robson stages, and that was compared with postoperative pathological results. Results Among the 112 cases,106 cases were diagnosed as RCC. The diagnostic accuracy rate of RCC by color Doppler ultrasound was 94.6%(106/112). The accuracy rate of preoperative staging by color Doppler ultrasound was 90.6%(96/106).Conclusion The accuracy rate in diagnosis and preoperative staging of RCC by color Doppler ultrasound was relatively higher. Color Doppler ultrasound could be of great value in clinical application.
