The Study Of Common Chinese Character In Dunhuang Chinese Medical Literature

Commom Chinese character (CCC) is a common form of Chinese character that is popular in folks as compared with the standardized form. In a word, CCC is the character that beyond standard in history.There is a number of CCC in unearthed Chinese medical literature of Dunhuang because it’s a part of unearthed literature of Dunhuang, which contains so many CCC that out of one’s imagine. So, exploring the law of the form variation of CCC, distinguishing the sound and meaning of CCC will be important for the arrangement of Chinese medical literature of Dunhuang.According to the arrangement, there are eight kinds of the law of form variation of CCC. They are adding,omitting, changing element, exchanging element, exchanging the similar form element, wrongly written element, changing element for classification,creating associative compounds of CCC. In these eight kinds of law, adding consisted of adding element and adding strokes. Omitting element inclouded omitting strokes and replacing the complex element with the simple. Changing element consisted of exchanging the similar meaning element, exchanging the similar sound element, changing the uncommon element into the common. In addition, it was arranged and summed up systematically for the law of exchanging the similar meaning element and wrongly written element. Combine the form variation laws of CCC that are summed up with the way of anlysising, comparing and summing,the difficult and complex characters and words in Fair Copy of Dunhuang Medical Literature were examined and explained.
