ObjectiveApplication of velocity vector imaging (VVI) technique for the analysis of impaired glucose regulation (IGR) in patients with carotid artery motion characteristics of VVI technology, IGR in patients with carotid artery wall elasticity in patients with IGR value, guide its reverses prediabetes patients atherosclerosis therapy.Methods1.20cases of patients with impaired glucose regulation and20cases of patients with diabetes, while a random selection of health physical examination of20cases of age normal blood glucose as a normal control group, a total of60cases.2. all candidates for ultrasonic heartbeat graph and color Doppler ultrasonography, and to determine the winners of the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT), carotid artery end systolic diameter (Ds), peak systolic velocity (PSV), end diastolic blood flow velocity (EDV), the resistance index (RI).3. observation of carotid VVI image, qualitative observation of all candidates of common carotid arterial wall motion along the short axis veloci ty vector size, phase and direction change; and qualitative observation of all candidates of common carotid artery wall of short axis color anatomical type M velocity, strain, strain rate image display characteristics. observation of carotid VVI image, quantitative analysis of all candidates of common carotid artery wall in the direction of the short axis strain peak.ResultsQualitative observation 1. diabetes mellitus and impaired glucose regulation group common carotid arterial wall motion along the short axis velocity in the heartbeat cycle display velocity vector size, phase and orientation disorders, diabetes group than the impaired glucose regulation group is behaved more apparently.2. diabetes mellitus and impaired glucose regulation group of common carotid artery wall of short axis color M anatomy of velocity, strain, strain rate parameter graph display colour disorder, no obvious variation of impaired glucose regulation, diabetes group than group is behaved more apparently.3. the diabetic group and impaired glucose regulation group strain diagram display strain curves of strain value is dispersive, smaller peak, large changing range of impaired glucose regulation, diabetes group than group is behaved more apparently.Quantitative analysis1. Ds(mm):The diabetes group compares to the control group (8.61±0.58Vs6.85±0.21) there is statistically significant (p<0.01), The diabetes group compares to the IGR group (8.61±0.58Vs7.08±0.22) there is statistically significant (p<0.05)2. IMT (mm):The diabetes group compares to the control group (1.38±0.28Vs0.82±0.16) there is statistically significant (p<0.01), The diabetes group compares to the IGR group (1.38±0.28Vs0.86±0.13) there is statistically significant (p<0.05)3. PSV (cm/s):The diabetes group compares to the control group (77.1±12.6Vs90.7±14.3) there is statistically significant (p<0.01), The diabetes group compares to the IGR group (77.1±12.6Vs89.1±13.6) there is statistically significant (p<0.05)4. EDV (cm/s):The diabetes group compares to the control group (27.9±5.1Vs32.7±6.1) there is statistically significant (p<0.01), The diabetes group compares to the IGR group (27.9±5.1Vs31.8±6.5) there is statistically significant (p<0.05)5. RI:The diabetes group compares to the control group (0.82±0.21Vs0.52±0.10) there is statistically significant (p<0.01), The diabetes group compares to the IGR group (0.82±0.21Vs0.58±0.08) there is statistically significant (p<0.05). 6. Smax (%):The diabetes group compares to the IGR group (3.11±0.09Vs3.31±0.09) there is statistically significant (p<0.01), The diabetes group compares to the control group (3.11±0.09Vs4.12±0.10) there is statistically significant (p<0.01), The IGR group compares to the control group (3.31±0.09Vs4.12±0.10) there is statistically significant (p<0.01)7. There are no statistically significant in Ds, IMT, PSV, EDV and RI measured values between the IGR group and the control group.(p>0.05)。8. There are no statistically significant in all three groups’ Smax (p>0.05).Conclusion1. Through the VVI technology found IGR group carotid artery elasticity is normal control group to decrease, show that IGR period already exist pathological changes of the atherosclerosis.2. VVI technology is testing the carotid artery to the structure and function of good method is more conventional ultrasonic early detection of carotid artery elasticity change.
