| Background and Objective:Detect the characteristic of the carotid arteryplaque and carotid artery stenosis extent in the patients with ischemiccerebrovascular disease by CDFI(color doppler flow imaging),assessing thevalue of the CDFI in the diagnosis of carotid artery plaque with cerebrovasculardisease patients.Analysis the associated risk factors of the carotid arteryplaque, and to explore the relationship between ischemic cereb-rovasculardisease and the carotid artery plaque. Study the relationship betweencharacteristic of the carotid artery plaque and the lipid level to prevent and treateffectively on the ischemic cerebrovascular disease.Material and Metheds:Retrospectively analyze137cases of the patientswith ischemic cerebrovascular disease in the neurology ward of the Thirdclinical hospital of Jilin University from September2011to February2012.Thepatients in the group are those who were prompted with carotid artery plaqueby carotid ultrasonography, divided into the dyslipidemia group and the normallipid group based on lipid level. Detect inter-media thickness(IMT),plaquenumber, size, shape, characteristic, the distribution of the carotid artery andcarotid artery stenosis extent. For each enrolled patients we collcected detailhistory and record relevant information including age, smoking history, historyof hypertansion, history of diabetes, fasting plasma glucose level(FBG),ftriglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein chol-esterol(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol.Study the relationshipbetween char-acteristic of the carotid artery plaque above and the lipid level. Results:(1)In the comparison of plaque extent and severity gradingbetween the dyslipidemia group and the normal lipid group, the results(P=0.007<0.01)were statisitically significant.(2)In the comparison ofplaque distribution and number between the dyslipidemia group and the normallipid group, the difference was not statisitically significant.(3)In the comparisonof plaque stability between the dyslipidemia group and the normal lipidgroup, the results (P=0.04<0.05)were statisitically different. Conclusion:Dyslipidemia is a common risk factor of carotid arteryplaque;Dyslipidemia can affect the scope and severity of carotid arteryplaque, and easy to lead to large carotid artery plaque and carotid artery stenosis.Dyslipidemia can increase the instability of the carotid artery plaque.Assessingthe characteristic of the carotid artery plaque combined with carotid CDFI andblood lipid levels are the monitoring tools for the patiens with ischemiccerebrovascular disease. |
