ObjectiveComparing different measurement method in evaluation of CT in perioperative chemotherapy of gastric cancer, so as to identify the most appropriate evaluation methods and standards.Methods2004.1-2008.1endoscopic and pathological diagnosis of gastric cancer patients in39cases (male,33cases, females6, average age of57.2±9.2). Portal vein reconstruction images respectively thickness measurement of tumor, the largest cross-sectional area and volume, and three kinds of measuring methods to evaluate all the cases mentioned above, respectively, into thick groups (Group D), largest cross-sectional area groups (Group S), volume groups (Group V), analysis of the changes and prognostic relevance. Spearman correlation between testing of methods to three assessment test. By SPSS17.0software to test the most relevant categories, find the cut-point data to ROC curve, sensitivity and specificity of its evaluation of prognosis indicators.ResultsThe correlation coefficient between CT tumor thickness reduction of rates and prognosis is r=0.520(P=0.003); the correlation coefficient between largest cross-sectional area of CT tumor reduction rates and prognosis is r=0.490(P=0.004); the correlation coefficient between CT tumor volume reduction of rates and prognosis is r=0.694(P<0.001). Rates reduced tumor volume and prognosis can be considered most relevant. If a tumor volume reduced35.5%percentage as evaluation of perioperative chemotherapy effective cut-off point, its prognosis evaluation of sensitivity is75%, specificity is80%.ConclusionsCT tumor thickness, maximum cross section area of CT tumor, CT tumor volume three assessment methods are to a certain extent, reflect the outcome, in which CT tumor volume changes has the most relevant to the prognosis. If a tumor volume reduced35.5%percentage as evaluation of perioperative chemotherapy effective cut-off point, its prognosis evaluation of sensitivity is75%, specificity is80%.According to this study, evaluation of perioperative chemotherapy in gastric cancer by measuring tumor volume CT changes in judgment of prognosis in patients with conditions, but still need to be more clinical studies have confirmed.
