Background and objective:Papillary fibroelastomas are rare benign cardiac tumors. Although they have minimal hemodynamic effects, their propensity for embolization can result in serious morbidity which need surgical approach. Methods:2cases of cardiac papillary fibroelastoma patients in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University in last30years were retrospectively reported. Results:One case underwent excision of papillary fibroelastoma and bioprosthetic mitral valve replacement. The other case had an excision of papillary fibroelastoma and tricuspid valve plasty. Both of them recovered well, follow-up without complications and recurrence. Conclusion:It is a safe and effective method that combining radical excision of papillary fibroelastoma with simoutaneously valvular replacement or plasty.
