BackgroundCognitive dysfunction is elderly patients after surgery a common complications. The cognitive dysfunction (postoperative cognitive dysfunction, POCD) refers to the number of days after surgery anaesthesia happen consciousness, cognitive, orientation, thinking, memory, and sleep, and other aspects of the disorders [1]. The occurrence of POCD can lead to the patient in the prolonged, slow recovery, and the patient’s life and work produce adverse impact, so many scholars caused the extensive attention. At present, the cause of the POCD reason is not fully understood, the study found that the different anesthetics for POCD different effects. Propofol is the most commonly used tabor phenol of intravenous anesthetics, has the effect to fast, came quickly, continuous infusion no accumulation after, etc. Anticholinergic activity as drug often used in patients with general anesthesia before operation, the drug scopolamine on central nervous system inhibit and exciting two-way effects of small dose cause calm, large doses can produce hypnotic effects. The two drugs to POCD share what effect do less reported.Objective Through the behavior to observe this experiment results doses propofol to rat study the influence of memory; Verify the doses whether the drug scopolamine can cause learning memory disorders; Observe propofol and the drug scopolamine share to rat study the influence of memory; Discuss the possible cause learning memory disorders part of the mechanism, whether there is a common pathways.Methods Sixty-four SD rats weighting>300g were randomly divided into4groups:group A control(n=16); group B propofol(n=16);group C scopolamine(n=16);group D propofol+scopola-mine (n=16). In group B and D propofol50mg/kg for the induction dose intraperitoneal injected and after the righting reflex disappeared, additional50mg/kg deepen anesthesia.In group C and D scopolamine0.8mg/kg was injected intraperitoneally20min before Morris water-maze test(MWM test). Half of the animals in each group underwent MWM test once a day for3consecutive days starting from the12hours and the half starting from the4th day after the injection of propofol.Results Behavior:group compared with C, Sco rats appeared study memory disorders, show the drug scopolamine, can result in a rat study memory disorders(P<0.05); Group compared with C, Pro rats after intraperitoneal injection of propofol1,2d appear the study memory disorders(P<0.05), but3-6d C compared with group without difference(P>0.05). Group compared with Sco, Pro+Sco intraperitoneal injection of propofol after1,2d study memory disorders increased (/*<0.05), and the injection propofol3-6d function of learning and memory test results difference was statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusion Propofol and the drug scopolamine, used alone which can lead to both rat study memory disorders, two share of rat medicine function of learning and memory in synergy effect short.
