Objective1.Through the investigation of the demographic data, etiology, clinical features and outcomeof bleeding, endoscopic features in hospitalized patients with acute non-variceal uppergastrointestinal bleeding( ANVUGIB ) from 2005 Jan to 2011 Sept,to understand morbiditystatus and disease change of ANVUGIB, deepening the clinicians’cognition to ANVUGIB.2.Evaluating Rockall rebleeding risk score, Blatchford admission risk score of hemorrhageon their prediction of death and rebleeding in 242 patients, to observe correlation between thetow scoring systems.Methods1.An retrospective survey of inpatients, of Department of Gastroenterology ,GeneralHospital of Beijing Military Region on from 2005 Jan to 2011 Sept ,was made. Among 1486cases patients with clinical diagnosis of NVGIB, 242 cases had complete data. Formulatingregistration form about the medical record data, making detailed record of clinical informationand the result of the examination, and summarizing the characteristics of variables were done .2.According to the tow scoring system scores, to compare two scoring system forANVUGIB to bleed again and the predictive power of death.Results1. Analysis of clinical data of 242 cases of ANVUGIB In this group, male is 4 timesfemale, with average age 49.98(18~ 95 years old ), 11cases were converted to surgicaltreatment ,and11 cases were dead ( 4.55% ), The top 5 causes of ANVUGIB were 111 casesduodenal ulcer (48.1%),47 cases gastric ulcer (20.3%), 15 cases esophageal Mallory-Weisssyndrome ( Mallory-Weiss syndrome ) (6.7%) and 18 cases acute hemorrhagic erosive gastritis(7.8%). Hematemesis and melena, as the main clinical manifestations, were 163 cases(67.36%).2.Rockall scoring system for predicting the death of AUC = 0.97( P < 0.05), prediction ofrebleeding of AUC = 0.775( P > 0.05). Blatchford scoring system in predicting the death of AUC= 0.899( P < 0.05), prediction of rebleeding of AUC = 0.758( P > 0.05).Conclusions1.In recent 6 years , peptic ulcer is the major cause of ANVUGIB in our hospital , whileyouth and middle-aged are the main group of ANVUGIB, hematemesis and melena are the mainclinical manifestations.2.Among the tow scoring systems, Rockall scoring system for prediction of ANVUGIB death is more powerful, consistent with reported literature. For bleeding, the predictive functionof tow scoring system has no obvious statistical difference, inconsistent with reported literature.
