Objective:To preliminarily study the forecast value of plasma adiponectin to the vulnerability of coronary plaque, we analyze the associations between the level of plasma adiponectin and the results of intravascular ultrasound.Methods:Totally48patients who underwent coronary angiography were included and divided into two groups:normal control group (n=16) and the coronary heart disease group (n=32, Coronary artery stenosis40%-70%). Fasting venous blood was drawn to detect the plasma levels of APN, the levels of lipids and blood glucose, at the same time measure body mass index (BMI). The vulnerability of coronary plaque was determined by intravascular ultrasound in the32coronary heart disease patients, and analyze the correlation between adiponectin and the vulnerability of coronary plaque.Results:(1)The concentration of glucose、triglyceride (TG)、low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C)、total cholesterol (TC) in the stable plaques and normal control group group were significantly lower than those in the vulnerable plaque group, while the high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and adiponectin were higher than that in vulnerable plaque group(p<0.05).(2) The plasma APN levels were negatively correlated with LDL-C、TC、TG (r=-0.633, r=-0.359, r=-0.304, p<0.05), and positively correlated with HDL-C (r=0.784, p<0.05). (3) The plasma APN levels were negatively and significantly correlated with the vulnerability of plaque (r=-0.559, p<0.01).(4)The predictive value of APN to the vulnerability of plaque was assessed through ROC, the diagnostic value was best when the area under the curve was0.815, accompanied with APN>8.0mg/L, and the sensitivity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of the plasma APN were85.7%,76.79%,78.39%, respectively.Conclusions:(1) The concentrations of adiponectin were negatively correlated with LDL-C、 TC、TG, were positively correlated with HDL-C.(2) The concentrations of adiponectin were negatively correlated with the vulnerability of plaque.(3) The APN levels have some predictive value to the vulnerability of coronary plaque.
