Objective:To investigate serum levels of stem cell factor(SCF) and their clinical significances in patients with chronic liver disease(CLD).Methods:The subjects included60patients with chronic liver disease(CLD),who were divided into4groups according to different phase and severity of liver diseasea,20patients with chronic hepatitis B(mild),15patients with chronic hepatitis B(severe),15patients with chronic severe hepatitisB and10patients with liver cirrhosis, serum SCF level changes of patients with liver cirrhosis were dynamic observed in the pre-treatment and treatment improves. Patients with chronic hepatitis B(mild) during hospitalization underwent liver biopsy, who were subdivided into Gl,S0-1group(12patients) and Gl,S2-3group(8patients). The serum levels of SCF were measured by ELISA.Results:In addition to patients with chronic hepatitis B(mild),the serum level of SCF of patients with CLD was significantly higher than that of normal controls(p<0.05) and increased significantly with developing of the disease. The order was chronic hepatitis B(mild)<chronic hepatitis B (severe)<liver cirrhosis<chronic severe hepatitis B(p<0.05).After treatment, serum SCF level of patients with liver cirrhosis than before treatment increased(p<0.05).There is no difference between Gl, SO-1group (2295.3+23.6pg/ml) and Gl, S2-3group (2297.3+25.8pg/ml) for serum level of SCF.Conclusions:1、The serum level of SCF may correlate with the degree of hepatic injury and prognosis in patients with CLD.2、Serum SCF levels of patients with CLD are not consistent with degree of hepatic fibrosis. |
