| Objective: To study the clinicopathological characteristics of familial gastric cancerand explore the pathogeny of familial gastric cancer, so as to evaluate the diagnosisand treatment of this disease. Methods: Fourteen patients from4familial gastriccancer families were analyzed. Result: All14patients were found in4familial gastriccancer families, among which9were gastric cardia cancer, while5were gasticantrum cancer. And two families transmitted vertically to2generations. The medianage of confirmed diagnosis was61.7years,4patients were confirmed diagnosedbefore50years (include50years). The pathological type of the14patients,10weremucious adenocarcinoma or poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma,1waswell-moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma,3were unknown. Conclusion: Thepatients of familial gastric cancer had the characteristics of early onsetting, highincidences of gastric cardia cancer, poor differentiation, tendency of other cancer andworse prognosis. |
