| Evoked Potential (EP) is that inherent bio-electrical activity of the central nervoussystem when it feels the external or internal stimulus. It provides doctors functionalstate information from the surrounding receptors to the advanced cerebral cortex of theentire nervous system. The technology of EP not only contributes to the diagnosis ofdisease, but also let the healers understand more deeply and overall about the disease.From the1950s to present, the theory and technology of EP have gradually becamematuring, increasingly widespreads in clinical applications, and be known as the thirdmajor advance in clinical neuroelectrophysiological progress. Somatosensory evokedpotentials which is related with this thesis is one kind of evoked potential by thestimulate type.The main purpose of this thesis is to study and design of an intelligent system ofsomatosensory evoked potentials stimulation. Its function is to produce a pulse currentwhich provides a constant stimulation on human safely. The parameters of stimulatedcurrent contains current intensity, frequency and pulse width which are controlled bycomputer. We can provide higher precision of parameter settings and adjustable range.The whole stimulator system can completely isolate the human body from the computer,and can avoid all kinds of interference, protect the safety of patients.This paper first introduces the design of the whole stimulator system: single-chipmicrocomputer is as the control center, which can control the frequency of the pulsecurrent, pulse width, intensity. And the circuit modules of the system are described indetail. Then all the circuit modules in the system is simulated by the simulation software,which illustrated the feasibility of the entire system. Finally, a control interface has beendesigned, which provides accurate controls of various stimulation parameters, and theresults was displayed on the software interface.Through the study of this subject, the concept of evoked potentials, classification,history of the development were more accurate description; Research to stimulatedomestic and foreign, has a more systematic elaboration. The study of this subjectimproves the similar medical devices by intelligent, portable and security, and hasplayed a positive role in promoting development in domestic. |
