According to the experimental data and second soil survey data of Mangshan, this thesis estimated the main soil types organic carbon density and storage in Mangshan; And analysis the soil organic carbon density spatial distribution patterns and the factors that affect it. It also provides a valuable basis data for the study of soil organic carbon in Mangshan. The results show that:1. Organic carbon content of the major soil types in MangshanMountain yellow is the most widely distributed soil type in Mangshan, with average organic carbon content of19.06g·kg-1; second largest yellow brown soil type, average organic carbon content of23.58g·kg-1; purple soil forthe third largest soil type, average organic carbon content of13.03g·kg-1. Through statistical analysis, soil organic carbon content in the order:meadow soil> yellow brown> mountain yellow> red soil> the purple soil; various types of soil organic carbon density in the0-60cm layer is more obvious, including yellow brown decline of mountain yellow times the decline were:64.97%,67.36%; little in the60-100cm layer gap.2. The soil organic carbon density, carbon storage of the main soil types in Mangshan. The total storage of soil organic carbon in Mangshan is about3.436×106t. carbon storage for each soil type is arranged in descending order:mountain yellow>yellow brown soil> red soil> purple soil> meadow soil. The average density of organic carbon of the different soil type is195.35tC·hm-2.the average density of the organic carbon in descending order:meadow soil>yellow brown mountain yellow>red soil>purple soil, the soil organic carbon density is range between106.85-216.83tC·hm-2.3. The soil organic carbon density, carbon storage and their spatial distribution of surface soil in Mangshan. The differences of organic carbon density of surface soil is big, the range is between41.74-85.67tC·hm-2, with area-weighted average of75.30tC·hm-2. The storage of the surface soil organic carbon is1.493x106t, accounting for soil organic carbon total carbon storage of38.55%. The spatial distribution of surface soil organic carbon storage is similar to the characteristics of this largely high mountain for the east, south, and west sides.4. The analysis between soil organic carbon density and its factors in Mangshan. The soil organic carbon density is related to precipitation and temperatures, but climate is not the main factor to affect the soil organic carbon density space distribution in Mangshan. The soil organic carbon content (soc) and altitude (x) was highly significant positive correlation (P<0.01), indicating that soil organic carbon content increases with increasing altitude. The same type soils has different parent rock, the soil organic carbon content is also significant differences. But the relationship with the slope is not very obvious. Vegetation and soil is closely related to differences in soil organic carbon content under different vegetation types, the soil organic carbon content follows that:slow broadleaf forests>Chinese fir>pine forest>shrub. Which showed that different vegetation type is different from the contribution of soil organic carbon.Major soil types of surface soil pH value and soil organic carbon was a negative correlation between the significant test results show that, between pH value and soil organic carbon content of not reach a significant level (P>0.05), reflecting the correlation between the major soil types of soil organic carbon and pH value was not significant. There was a significant positive correlation (P<0.01) between soil N and soil organic carbon; correlation between soil P and soil organic carbon is not obvious, but does not reach the level of significance (P>0.05).
