Five types of forest(and other habitats) in and around natural reserve were randomly sampled in Jiujiang area in the north rim of subtropical region, number and coverage of native and alien plant species were recorded. Statistical analysis based on species number and coverage were carried out and the results showed that there were29alien plant species occurred in different types of habitat. Because of the differences of light and human disturbance, ANOVAs in terms of species number and coverage showed the increase trend of alien species from forest interior, forest edge, farmland border to roadsides, Overall, The result of ANOVAs support the hypothesis that disturbance enhances biological invasion. Correlation analysis between native species and alien species among habitats around natural reserve showed that the number and coverage of both native and alien plant species were basically negatively correlated, although analysis based on coverage is not significant. Thus correlation analysis supports the hypothesis that species-rich community is more resistant than species-poor communities. The analysis based on exotic plants’species number in forest edge in and around natural reserve showed that phyllostachys pubescens forest was different from others. The Detrended Correspondence analysis based on exotics showed that the phyllostachys pubescens forest edge is also significant from other types of forest. The paper also analyzes the composition of alien plants species in the region and put forward some suggestions on prevention and management of alien plant invasion for different habitats, especially in area closed to nature reserve.
