| Classify and evaluate forest site is one of the important methods to grasp forest growing environment and productivity, which are very important in forestry production. As we do a project in Wangyedian Forest Farm and have complete materials and data, this paper chooses Wangyedian Forest Farm as study area. Through the research and analysis of wild survey data, RS images, forestry resource survey data, select191sample plots and obtain the influence factors related to site classification, do mathematical analysis about these factors and select the dominant factor of site classification, finally get results of site classification in the study area and its datum. Using the AHP method evaluates the site quality in the study area. The results are as follow.The application of RS, GIS and mathematical analysis can help to realize the multi-factor classification and enhance the precision and objectivity. Select height, slope, soil type, NDVI as dominant factors, divided the study area into5groups and10types. Build the Site quality evaluation system. Combined with the actual characteristics of the study area, using the AHP model to construct site quality evaluation system of Wangyedian, mostly plots have good quality, are suitable land, only a few plots’quality is poor, need to do artificial improvement job in order to achieve vegetation restoration. This research made the site classification and quality evaluation contributing to ecological and economic benefit, and plays an important role in forestry sustainability. |
