| Secondary forest management is a hot issue in forestry research. Some precious and rare tree species introducing into the forest stand is the most direct way in improving the stand economic value. Phoebe bournei, excellent material and famous, is the second important protected plant, but due to excessive deforestation, the growth rate of Phoebe is too slow and the operating cycle is too long, its natural community distribution is very rare. In this paper, that introducing precious species Phoebe into Schima superb secondary forest studied the feasibility and main factors, which provide a new business mode in reforming secondary forest and cultivating valuable tree species and had practical significance.This article’s content is a part of the public welfare industry of the state forestry ad ministration research projects, Southern collective secondary forest tending and thin ning and efficient use of technology research (The Item Number:201004032). By introducing Phoebe into Schima secondary-forest Gap, based on nursery stock specifications, Gap size, full influence circle, stress of fix-wood, open degree, shielding index and their introducing effect were analyzed and summarized the main factors in the research. The results were as follows:The study that Phoebe was introduced into Schima secondary forest has showed that the survival rate was95.38%and90.77%, reached to requirements in initial stage. It was recommended that the introducing interval of seedling diameter was4.49mm to5.15mm.The gap size was the most significant factors in the Phoebe introduction experiment. The area in2.0012m2to2.3251m2was a critical interval on growth, when gap size was in this range, the introduced Phoebe growth achieved to a better state, over this interval, with the gap size increased, the introduced Phoebe growth began to decline and even death in initial stage.Gaps structure and the introducing location that the phoebe was in gaps also affect the introducing effect. Light was the most factor, as opening degree at structural unit, when the gap size was less than the critical range or extreme points, the more of the opening degree, the better of the introduced phoebe growth, when the gap size was more than the critical range or extreme points, the more of the opening degree, the worse of the introduced phoebe growth, with the increasing of the gap size and light intensity, the influence of opening degree increased dramatically, the introduced phoebe growth decreased.The pressure of fix-wood at the structural unit of gaps to the imported seedlings could affect the import effect, as pressure at structural unit, the larger pressure, the worse introduced phoebe growth. As the gap size increases, the influence of pressure was more significant.The shield degree of fix-wood at the structural unit of gaps to the introduced seedlings could affect the import effect, as shielding index at structural unit. When the gap size was small, with increasing of the shield degree, introduced phoebe growth decreased, with increasing of the gap size, the amplitude gradually reduced, when the gap size was large, with increasing of shield degree, introduced seedlings’growth would better. |
