So far, herbicides have been used in the rice fields for more than20years in China, thepaddy barnyard grass has produced resistance on the dichloroquinoline acid morpholine,sedges and broad-leaved grass also has produced resistance on bensulfuron methyl. Inrecent years, China has been promoting light rice cultivation, and put forward higherrequirements for the control of weeds of rice fields. Moreover, with the increasingemphasis on environmental protection and food safety issues,the requirements for pesticidesafety have become increasingly stringent.So,pesticide formulation are going through thetransition to the environmentally friendly and water based formulations.This article aims to develop the environmentally friendly herbicide for rice fields:30%SE of butachlor and oxadiazon.In this paper, through the screening of different dispersants, emulsifiers, thickeners andother additives, the preferential formulation of30%butachlor· oxadiazon SE is determined.All the technical indicators of the preparation are determined. Through the control efficacytest in directly-broadcast rice fields,the paper evaluates the the control efficacy of30%butachlor· oxadiazon SE.The main findings are summarized as following:1Determination of the formulation of30%butachlor· oxadiazon SEThrough the screening of different dispersants, emulsifiers, thickeners and otheradditives, the formulations of40%butachlor EW and20%oxadiazon SC are determined.By mixing them as1:1mass ratio,30%butachlor· oxadiazon SE is produced. Thepreferential formulation of the preparation contian:20.0%butachlor,10.0%the oxadiazon,1.5%dispersant,1.5%emulsifier,0.15%thickener,2.0%glycol,0.1%defoamer, fillwith water.2. Determination of the technical indicators of30%butachlor· oxadiazon SEThe suspension rate, dispersion efficacy, pH, fineness, the dumping efficacy, foamingefficacy, low-temperature storage stability, the hot storage stability, these8technicalindicators of the preparation are determined. And the content of butachlor and oxadiazonare determined. The results are as following:(1) The content of butachlor is greater than20%, the content of oxadiazon is greaterthan10%;(2) The suspension rate of butachlor and oxadiazon both greater than90%;(3) The dispersion of preparation is qualified;(4) Preparation pH is between6.7~7.0;(5) The fineness is greater than98%;(6) Residues after dumping is less than4%, residue after washing is less than0.5%;(7) In persistent foaming test, the volume of foam is smaller than25ml;(8) After the cold storage, preparation appearance do not change, and precipitates issmaller than0.3ml;(9) After high-temperature storage, preparation pH decreased slightly, butachlor and oxadiazon decomposition rate both are less than1%.3. Design and results of field efficacy trials of30%butachlor· oxadiazon SEThe weeds in directly-broadcast rice field were separately controlled by using30%butachlor· oxadiazon SE at the amount of100ml/acre and30%EC of butachlor andoxadiazon at the amount of100ml/acre. Three days after sowing of rice spraying once.Survey control effect30days after spraying. The results show that the control efficiency ofSE on barnyard grass, the benn grass and shaped sedge are88.9%,72.1%,87.2%, totalcontrol effect on three kinds of weeds is87.7%. The control effect of EC on barnyard grass,the benn grass and shaped sedge are89.1%,77.5%,88.1%, total control efficacy on threekinds of weeds is88.3%. Therefore, in comparison with EC of the same content, efficacyof30%butachlor· oxadiazon SE is slightly lower. The field efficacy of two kinds ofpreparation are very basic the same.
