In this text, the change of hormones contents during green stage, ramose stage, squaring period, flowering stage,and productive phase was studied by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),including three hormones,IAA,GA3and ABA from aerial part of Artemisia frigida. Artemisia frigida Samples were collected at Xilinhot and in Etuokeqi,inner Mongolia,2011.This study will help us to understand the relationship among the change of hormones contents, phenophase, stem node and flower formation.The results showed as below:1.Experiment is optimized by the choice of chromatographic conditions. Three hormones, including IAA,GA3and ABA,in Artemisia frigida were determined simultaneously by HPLC.2.The varying tendencies of IAA, GA3and ABA were similar between the two samples. During green stage and ramose stage, the contents of GA3and IAA increased firstly and then decreased and increased stably at last, got their peaks during the ramose stage, reached its minimum value during the squaring period. During the ramose stage, hormones contents of IAA, GA3in Xilinhot were87.875,227.321;in etuoke were108.661,397.672. The contents of ABA decreased firstly and then increased slowly, the ramose stage was lowest, in Xilinhot and Etuokeqi were respectively18.496and32.698. The ratios of(IAA+GA3)/ABA increased firstly and then decreased and increased stably at last. Three hormones in Etuokeqi were obviously higher than Xilinhot.3. Meristem was found in stem node of Artemisia frigida during green stage;cell division was vigorous during ramose stage;primary structure was obviously appeared;The structure of squaring period and ramose stage was similar;During flowering stage,stem showed secondary growth and formed vascular cambium and cork cambium;The structure of productive phase was similar with flowering stage,and higher lignifi cation.4.The foucuons of IAA and GA3are basically the same, they all promot growth;howe(?)er,ABA and GA3shows antagonism,branch stops growing,but it is conducive to the accumulation of sugar and flower. The hormones contents of IAA and GA3were the lowest during aquaring period,conversely,ABA was the highest.The results sho(?) that:The treatment with low IAA and GA3concent was beneficial to flower formation,namely IAA and inhibited flower formation,ABA contributed to flower formation.
