The experiment studied that Mongolian ewes were restricted during late pregnancy, which led to malnutrition induced in intrauterine growth retardation, changed placental growth and development under this condition and analysed of the type of distribution, vascular volume, antioxidant capacity on the placentomes.6ewes out of42Mongolian ewes were slaughtered at the beginning of the experiment and the remaining animals were allocated to three different groups:Restricted Group1(RG1,0.175MJME kgw-0.75d-1, n=12), Restricted Group2(RG2,0.33MJME kgw-0.75d-1, n=9) and Control Group (CG, ad libitum,0.67MJ ME kgw-0.75d-1, n=8) for feeding under different energy levels. At140d of gestation,6ewes in each groups were slaughtered as before.Part I:Mongolian ewes were fed restriction during late pregnancy to study the distribution of placental growth, development and placentomes types.Mongolian ewes were restricted during late pregnancy, which severely limited the placental weight, fetal weight. The F-P value (the difference between the weight of the fetus and placenta) were decreased and the P/F values (placenta and fetal weight ratio) were increased with the reduce of nutrient levels, however, the P/F values prompted of IUGR in pregnancy. There were no significant differences on the total weight and number of the placentomes. Besides, A type of placentomes weight, numbers were decreased and B-type placentomes weight, numbers were increased, moreover, the C-type placentomes, and D type placentomes trended to higher with the reduce of nutrient levels.Part II:Mongolian ewes were restricted during late pregnancy to study distributed placentomes vascular.A, B, C, D, placentomes vascular numbers were followed by an increase in various types in the placentomes, moreover, there were no significant difference in A and B or C and D vascular numbers. But, the C, D placentomes vascular.number were significantly higher than A, B of the placentomes vascular number (P<0.05). In addition, with the reduction of nutrient levels, the NO and NOS concentration in fetal blood gradually increased, which might be one of the important reason of the change of the vascular number of various types of placentomes.Part III:Mongolian ewes were restricted during late pregnancy to study the placentomes antioxidant capacity.The antioxidant capacity are closely related to the degree of their own health condition. In this experiment, the fetal blood antioxidant capacity were decreased with the reduce of nutrient levels, which was one of the reasons of the fetal growth restriction, body tissue and organ development by the impact and damage. In addition, the majority of A, B-type placentomes as a representative of the placenta tissue were found the reduce of placental tissue antioxidant capacity with the decline of nutritional level. However, taking the A, B, C, D, four kinds of antioxidant capacity of the placenta blocks to compare, we found that antioxidant capacity were gradually decreased.
