According to the problem of Uncontrollable water distribution and easy to clog theemitter in Subsurface Irrigation, a new Subsurface Irrigation technology was putforward. Referencing on the traditional above-ground atomized sprinkler irrigationtechnology and underground infiltration irrigation technology, using water and airmixed irrigation in Subsurface Irrigation, outputting water-air two phase flow fromemitter buried under crop, guiding water infiltration and dispersion to root region soilby gas phase flow, it delivered water to crop roots. On the one hand, the irrigation mixedwater and air has solved the problem of clogging effectively. On the other hand, throughgas phase flow guide water distribution, upward distributing water which had beenirrigated in soil, it can regulate water distribution by adjusting the water-air mixing ratio.The system is a development plan of the water-saving Subsurface Irrigation, based onthe ARM9microprocessor S3C2440A and the structure of embedded Linux operatingsystem, built the system hardware peripheral circuits based on ARM9microprocessor,put up a software development environment, ported U-boot, Linux kernel, and Yaffs2file system, completed the software design of the periphery device driver andapplication program. Experiments show that the system meets the design requirementsand have a good real-time, stability and flexibility. It provides a new way for thedrought region water-saving irrigation hydraulic engineering construction.
