Cangxi County, located in Northeast of Sichuan Province, is the origin of CangxiRed Kiwifruit.China Food Industry Association named Cangxi for “the first redkiwifruit county in China”, which enjoys a high prestigious and is agreed by domesticand international experts. Kiwifruit is known as “king of fruits”,“king of the VitaminC” with effects of Health, beauty, anti-cancer and so on. Kiwifruit industry in CangxiCounty is becoming the leading industry and competitive industry. This study is basedon ecology geological environment and geochemistry in kiwifruit producing area ofBaihe County, Cangxi Town. According to the investigation on soil geochemistry inBaihe County, Cangxi Town and the sample collections of surface soil and soilprofiles, this thesis analyzed that the content of geochemical elements in soil, soil PHvalue, the relationship between soil available and total elements of soil, and thecondition of abundance or deficiency of beneficial elements in soil. The local soilenvironment and soil fertility were evaluated in details, and the kiwifruit plantplanning was provided scientific and reasonable guidance. The thesis got main resultsas follows:1. The contents of major elements SiO2, TFe2O3, CaO, MgO, K2O, Na2O in thestudy area account for76.73%of the amount of chemicals in soil, minor elementstook a small portion. Compared background values in surface soil in the study areawith the background values in Chinese soil, accumulation coefficient of Cd is2.27.The distribution of most elements contents is more uniform, only coefficient ofvariation for CaO, Hg, I and Mn are bigger, which shows that the contents of theseelements in soil existed uneven and maybe influenced by later human activities.2. The major soil types were rice soil and purple soil in the study area. The landuse types were mainly for paddy fields and dry land, followed by woodland. Soil pH was most between7and8, and it was weak alkaline. The contents of phosphorus andorganic matter in soil were quite low in the study area.3. The correlation of available elements and total elements in surface soilindicated:10beneficial elements, which were available Cu and total Cu, available Moand total Mo, available Fe and total Fe, available S and total S, available Si and totalSi, available P and total P, hydrolytic N and total N, available B and total B, availableK and total K, slow effective K and total K, had a positive correlation betweenavailable elements and total elements, or the contents of total elements of beneficialelements in soil were high while contents of these available elements were also high.However2beneficial elements of available Zn and total Zn, and interchangeable Mnand total Mn had a negative correlation between available elements and total elements,or the contents of total elements of beneficial elements in soil were high whilecontents of these available elements were low.4. The level of soil fertility was general, mostly in level2and level3. The soilarea which belonged to level2accounted5.35%of the total study area; The level3accounted for94.62%; And the level4only accounted for0.03%.5. The order of Single pollution index of heavy metals in soil wasCd>Ni>Zn>Cr>Pb>As> Cu>Hg. The main reason of high integrated pollution indexwas that the Cd content exceeded level1of the standard, but in level2. But thecontents of Zn and Ni were in alert level, while the other heavy metals were insecurity level. However according to integrated pollution index analysis. The area inalert level was clean. Analysis for cause of the heavy metal Cd, it maybe have2reasons: the Cd content partly inherited soil parent material, or it caused by laterhuman activities, especially for the unreasonable fertilization during agriculturalproduction, so scientific fertilization should be reinforced from now on.In conclusion, soil environment quality in the study area was excellent, met thelevel2of soil quality standard, conformed to the basic requirements of plantingpollution-free agricultural products and other commercial crop and locally met therequirement of green-agriculture development..
