| Lagerstroemia indica is a deciduous shrub or small tree of Lythraceae Lagerstroemia. It’s a very important flowering plant in summer of China and used more widely in Landscaping because of their long flowering period, beautiful color, strong resistance and other characters.This paper used3provenances Lagerstroemia as materials which were respectively quoted from Sichuan, Hubei Baokang and United States. Choose five superior clones from three provenances to study cross-compatibility. Additionally this article also studied the variation of Lagerstroemia hybrid progeny.1. The results of cross-compatibility are as follows:(1) Considering the set rate, fruit setting rate, seed plumpness and seed germination rate comprehensively, the cross-compatibility of E×B, C×E, D×B corss combinations are the hihgtest, while the E×D and D×E cross combinations are the lowest.(2) As male parent, parent B has the highest fruit set rate, seed setting rate, plumpness and the highest germination rate. So it is an excellent male parent comepared other hybidy parents. As female parent, Parent C has the highest fruit set rate, seed setting raet, the plumpness and the germination rate is relatively hight, so it is a fine female parent.(3) Parent D no matter as the female parent or male parent, the cross-compatibility is lower than others while the cross-compatibility of parent E is well whether as the female parent or as the male parent.2. The variation of Lagerstroemia hybrid progeny results are as follows:(1) The variation range of17families flowering period is more wider and it has differences between the different plants. The shortest flowering periods of single plant is only9days, the longest up to38days and the average flowering is22days.(2) The hereditability of plant height and ground diameter is more higher,90.46%,71.43%,respectively, the heritability of inflorescence wide is lowest, only33.21%. Genetic gain of plant heihgt (38.33%) is the heightest, flower color is followed, genetic gain is27.20%, flower diameter is the lowest, only7.27%.(3) Principal component analysis of Lagerstroemia indica characters shows:The cumulative contribution rate of first five principal components up to86.49%, and it’s available instead most information of Lagerstroemia characters. The five principal components are including:the growth factor, flower number factors, the branching factor, flowering branch proportion factor and flower diameter factor.(4) The comprehensive evaluation of17families shows:The mean comprehensive evaluation value of17families is47.77%, No.5family is the best which comprehensive evaluation value is65.77%.The lowest are NO.15and No.9which was26.65%,36.29%respectively.(5) The mean comprehensive evaluation value of total plants is42.35%, the lowest is13.70%. The top5is respectively from No.12, No.2, No.4, No.7, No.17and the value is61.27%,60.53%,60.63%,57.33%,57.21%, respectively. |
