In this paper, superior cultivars with better ornamental character, fast growth, strong adaptability and stress resistance are selected through resource investigation and fine germplasm resources collection. Thus they can be used as raw material for Wooden Toy Industry and Edible Fungus Production of Yunhe County, and it can also help in promoting the developing ecotourists’ conservational tourism.Investigation, collection, screening and molecular identification of Liquidambar formosana germplasm resources. All classes germplasm resources in main distribution area of Liquidambar formosana were investigated, and excellent monoclonals with excellent morphological characters, special leaf-color (red, yelloe and etc) and good growth were collected.50Mu collecting nursery were built, as well as20Mu cutting orchard and10Mu propagating nursery.12strains were selected with pink, scarlet and crimson three special leaf-color.Vegetative propagation techniques, such as hardwood cutting, softwood cutting, grafting propagation and etc, showed that the best cutting medium is perlite, secondly the mixture of perlite vs vermiculite (5:5), perlite vs vermiculite vs peat (3:4:3); Cuttings soaked30min in300fold ABT had the highest survival rate.30,000strains were propagation by grafting successfully and20,000strains by cutting. All of these were used for landscape construction in Yunhe.Developing Liquidambar formosana clonal selection and extension. Clonal cultivars were propagated from excellent monoclonals by vegetative propagation, and excellent monoclonals were selected from superior family through experimental comparison and screening. Clonal cultivars were then popularized and applied comprehensively.
