Based on temperature and precipitation factors, using the model of Maxent we have predicted potential distribution of the Miscanthus sinensis Anderss and M. floridulus (La b.)Ward in china, which were analysed and evaluated with the divided of flora. Finally, offered some proposals to develop M.sinensis and M.flordulus on the potential distributi on. The main results are as following:1ã€The potential distribution of the M.sinensis and M.flordulus has been predicted by t he model of Maxent. The result shows that, the potential distribution area for M. sinens is covers west Sichuan, north Shaanxi, Ningxia, central Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, w est Jilin, west Liaoling, southeast Qinghai, etc. The potential distribution area for M. flo ridulus includes Yunnan, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Ningxia, Henan, Shandong, Jilin, Liaoning, we st Sichuan, south Gansu and east Inner Mongolia, etc.2ã€The mainly environmental factors for M.sinensis consist of precipitation i-n the wette st quarter (33.4%), average precipitation in August (15.3%), average minimum temperatu re in July (13.8%), average precipitation in July (7.3%), average maximum temperature i n November (5.9%), mean temperature in the driest quarter (5.6%), the average precipita tion in December (4.3%). Their acumulative contribution rate is85.6%. The prime envir onmental fact-ors for M. floridulus includes precipitation in the warmest quarter (25.4%). mean precipitation in June (22%), isothermality (12.1%). average minimu-m temperatur e in July (10%), temperature seasonality (5.7%), Average minimum temperature in June (5.2%), Average precipitation in April (4.7%). The accumulative contribution rate is85.1%. The AUC results of the M.sinensis and M. floridulus are0.996and0.998, they sho w that the results have high reliability.3ã€Combined the climate data of sampling points and further analysed the response curv e of meteorological factors obtained the ecological amplitude for M.sinensis as follows, t he precipitation of Wettest Quarter is about400mm-1000mm. The average precipitation is about100mm-350mm in August. The average minimum temperature is about15℃i n July and the average p-recipitation is about100mm-350mm in July. The average maxi mum temper-ature is between-10℃and22℃in November. The mean temperature of d riest quarter is between-15and20℃. The average precipitation is below100mm in De cember; M. floridulus’ecological amplitude as follows, the precipitation of warmest quar ter at least more than400mm. The mean precipitation is150mm-550mm in June. The i sothermality range is between20and60.The average minimum temperature is between15℃and30℃in July, and10℃in June.
