In order to solve a series of problems such as the steering operation is difficult when transplanting the tabacco seedling with the machine in south, the work efficiency is low and the ridge height change would affect the tabacco seedling planting depth and its uniformity, the ridge height adaptive chassis, which could steer easily by one person and guided automatically, would been designed.Based on the features and operation technical indexes of the transplanting machine, the general structure of machine and the key components was designed; the parameters of hydraulic lifting mechanism was optimized; the hydraulic copy mechanism was designed and analyzed; the tests about all of them have been carried out.Profiling guiding mechanism according to the smoke ridge side wall shape on the complete guide, experiments show that:when the steering mechanism is used, the automatic transplanting machine only needs one person operation, saving labor in a case, can ensure the seedling planting ridge center line offset is0~1cm, replanting rate down to0.5%, grow rate is reduced to1%leakage.The copying guiding mechanism could guide the whole machine depending on the ridge lateral-wall shape change.The test results showed that the designed copyingmechanism could be operated by one person and make sure that the ridge center deviation distance of transplanting tabacco seedlings is0~1cm, the replanting rate is down to0.5%, the unplanting rate is reduced to1%.The core of this paper is the hydraulic lifting mechanism. In order to optimize the lifting height difference between the front and rear wheel, the mathematical model of the rod parameters would be established. Firstly, choose the rod length parameter, make the angle as the variable and optimize the parameters with Matlab, then we could get the following conclusions:the height difference between the front and rear wheel is near zero when θ1is51°or70°, the largest height difference is0.35cm, the largest chassis lifting height is174mm. With the above optimal solution, the influence that the horizontal displacement is to tobacco seedling planting space has been studied. When the chassis was upgraded by174mm, the horizontal displacement is55cm.Considering that true environment that the ridge height change is less than50mm, the distance that the horizontal displacement affected on the planting space is only12mm.There are some lifting lag distance when the rotary vavle angle of the hydranlic copying mechanism is matching the induction board. The lag distance of induction board is16mm when the chassis is lifting-up and the lag distance is9.3mm when the chassis is lifting-down. The results From the test results, we chould get the conclusion that the hydraulic copying mechanism could control the tobacco seedling planting depth automatically according to its ridge height change.
