Harvest process of corn consists of collection of ear and chopping of stalk. Recently, ear snapping and stalk chopping are completed separately by ear snapping device and stalk recycling machine on corn harvesters in our country.On the basis of digestion and absorption of domestic and foreign advanced technology of ear snapping and stalk chopping intergriation, researches and analysis on ear snapping and stalk chopping intergriation harvesting device are done. The ear snapping and stalk chopping intergration harvesting device with disc-cutters roller consists of ear snapping device, disc-cutters roller and gearbox. It can snap ears from stalks and chop stalks into pieces at a time. The device can simplify the working process of corn harvesting, enhance the working efficiency and perfect and rich the technology systems of corn harvesting mechanization.Firstly, the ear snapping and stalk chopping intergration harvesting device with disc-cutters roller is designed and analyzed theoretically. The main design parameters of key parts are determined, and the theoretical formula of stalk cutting length is determined, L=l/sin(θ+α), which gives that stalk cutting length theoretically relates to space of disc-cutters, dip angle of the header and the condition of stalks when they get into the harvester.Secondly, in order to avoid resonance, modal analysis of disc-cutter based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA is realized. The first six natural frequencies of disc-cutter are work out, and they are far greater than the working vibration frequency of disc-cutters.Finally, the suppositional gearbox of the ear snapping and stalk chopping intergration harvesting device with disc-cutters roller is built by ADAMS to build the simulation platform for improvement of the ear snapping and stalk chopping intergration harvesting device with disc-cutters roller in the future, and its transmission ratio, engaging forces between gears and transmission efficiency are analyzed. On the conditions that output shaft load at10N·m and input rotate speed at3600deg/sec, the transmission efficiency of the gearbox gotten is about85.7%.
