The dairy industry is an important part of agriculture, and it is also a symbol of the modernizationof agriculture. To increase the profit of dairy cattle, we need to improve the management and the diet ofdairy cattle. Part of the dairy cow nutrient requirement is used to meet the needs of their own growth,development and production, and the other part is used to meet the needs of the rumen microbial flora.So to supply the necessary nutrients to cows and avoid the waste of any kinds of nutrients, the preciseformulation software is needed.To improve the health and increase the product of dairy cattle, this study has developed a newgeneration of dairy cows precise formula system, which was integrating the research progress on thegrowth, development and reproduction of dairy cows, basing on dairy cattle nutrition prediction andnutrient supply models provided by the Nutrient Requirement of Dairy Cattle in2001, combining withcows feed data source of the Chinese Feed Database,using Delphi7programming language and Access2003database management system. Delphi programming language which the system used is the world’sfastest editor, and it is simple, efficient and powerful, and it applies to a variety of database structure. Inaddition, Delphi programming language could communicate with the Access database promptly.This system mainly includes dairy cattle diets diagnosis subsystem, dairy cattle nutritionrequirement prediction subsystem and dairy cow diets optimization subsystem. The dairy cattle nutritionrequirement prediction subsystem is included in the rest ones.Dairy cattle diets diagnosis subsystemcould diagnose and view the formula provided by the user to meet the nutritional needs of diary cows.When it is operated, you need to input the information of dairy cattle in given condition, then you mayselect the material according to the formula. At last, the outcome could be output. Dairy cows nutritionrequirement prediction subsystem could calculate in certain physiological states the requirement ofamino acid the mineral, and the requirement for maintenance, lactation, growth and pregnancy. Dairycattle diet optimization subsystem is to obtain minimum cost in condition of meeting the requirement ofdairy cattle. In order to achieve the goal of minimum cost formula, it used linear programming algorithmto constrain and optimize multiple parameters. Similarly, you should input the information of the dairycattle which could be used to calculate the nutrition requirement.At last, the optimum formula is gained.The system is a visualization system, and it could be operated, understood easily and it also has afriendly interface design.
