As one of the four major cut flower in the world, The chrysanthemum has high ornamental value and market potentiality.However, for varieties of production imported from abroad, China does not yet have new varieties of independent intellectual property rights.So this study is to cultivate new varieties of our own intellectual property, now achieved the following results:1.Through market research and field survey to the cut chrysanthemum companies, and combine the ornamental characteristics of the cut flower itself, the standard cut chrysanthemum breeding goal is pure, rich colors and larger flower diameter.2.41standard cut chrysanthemum cultivars were used as test material, made principal components analysis and genetic cluster analysis,41chrysanthemum cultivars were classified by adopting square sum of deviations. they were clustered to four major groups by genetic distance of15, with a variety of group phenotype similar; and using cross experiment validation. the results showed that hybrid progeny, whose parents’ genetic diversity was obvious, had higher heterosis. Therefore, select parent between the two optional parental groups with significant genetic differences.3.Using analytic hiberarchy process builded a scientifically rational comprehensive evaluation systems for first and second selection, Both of systems were adopted to synthetically evaluate standard cut chrysanthemum hybrid progenies, Finally,36lines with good comprehensive characters were selected,1strain with good comprehensive characters was selected, named’Fen Jiaren’as new varieties to declare, The results of practice showed that these plants selected with good comprehensive characters.4. Summarized and analyzed the genetic expression of587hybrid progenies17main traits.The results found that:different colors have different genetic potential, the size of the genetic potential of each color in turn can be ranked as follows:pink> purple> orange> white> red> yellow. on the genetic potential of flower type, Peony type has low genetic potential,broadband type, lotus type, the spoon-lotus and flat plate shape with a higher genetic potential; on the petaline type, the flat valve has the higher genetic potential; different leaf types have different genetic potential:their genetic potential size can be ranked as follows:round leaf> long leaf> spread leaf>salsa leaf; The mean flower stalk length,plant height, stem diameter, leaf length and width of hybrid progeny showed a certain degree of heterosis, The mean flower diameter, number of ray florets, stalks thick, internode length and stipule size showed a reduction trends; the stem bending and leaf firmness showed maternal inheritance; in the flower time, the flower time of the hybrid progeny lied between parents, early flowering compared to later flowering accounted for a high proportion.
