The silk industry is an important and ancient industry in China. Due to the impact of the silkworm disease, Chinese silk annual loss is of up to 20%. Bombyx mori nuclearpolyhedrosis virus (BmNPV) is one of the most damaging pathogen in the sericulture, so it is urgently problem to obtain BmNPV infection-related genes. In this study, we use two cell strains (BmN cells and BmN-SWU1 cells) as experimental material. The two cell strains come from the same tissue, but response different to BmNPV infection, We analyzed the gene expression profile characteristic of two cell strains, ovarian tissue, and two cell strains infected by BmNPV. The main research results obtained are as follows:1. Compared with ovary, there were 3695 and 2474 differentially expressed genes in BmN and BmN-SWU1, respectively. The biological functions of those genes are mainly related to physiological processes, cell processes and catalytic activities.2. There are 25 differentially expressed genes in three time points after BmN cells infected with BmNPV, and they refer to 14 biological functions. There are 301 differentially expressed genes in three time points after BmN-SWU1 cells infected with BmNPV, and they refer to 134 biological functions.3. We chose some differentially expressed genes between BmN and BmN-SWU1 cells after infected with BmNPV by qRT-PCR. The results demonstrated that the expression of GTP binding protein gene is extremely significant at 48h after BmN cells infected with BmNPV. While the expressions of cytochrome b5, S-adenosyl methionine and ubiquitin specific protease are extremely significant at 48h after BmN-SWU1 cells infected by BmNPV.
