As is known to all, mycorrhizal can promote the plant body use of limited water resources, and Oriental oak.Quercus Variabilis is an important forest tree species in north China, mycorrhizal research of Quercus Variabilis in the water saving section fertilizer effect is very significant. In this study, the main tree species in North China cork oak (Quercus Variabilis) were inoculated with mycorrhizae, and the annual non-inoculated and inoculated container seedlings of Quercus were considered as the research objects. By setting the three soil moisture gradient:85%θf~75%θf,65%θf~55%θf,45%θf~35%θf; three nitrogen gradient:no fertilizer,0.12g/plant,0.24g/plant, and comparing and analyzing the inoculated and non-inoculated seedlings with different combinations of water and nitrogen treatments, the Mycorrhizal Quercus section of fertilizer-saving and water-saving effects were concluded. Results are as follows:(1)Without using a fertilizer in this case, at each water gradient, the inoculated treatment, compared with the control (non-inoculated treatment), could improve the indicators of Quercus. Rn increased by1.2%-39.8%; WUE was9.7%-33.2%higher than that of the control; biomass increased by9.95%-25.12%; photosynthetic capacity was enhanced, and seedling biomass increased. The60%θf of inoculation had significant differences in various levels compared with the control treatment. When compared with the80%θf control, the differences between them in terms of the number of lateral roots greater than side root growth, biomass and Rn also reached a significant level.(2) Using60%θf, inoculation with mycorrhizae could promote the growth of cork oak and the absorption of nitrogen in low, medium and high nitrogen levels. Chlorophyll increased by14%-27.7%, total nitrogen concentration in seedlings increased by13.3%-21.7%; biomass increased by1.18-1.34times; the Rn increased by43.29%-66.48%and WUE increased by7.99%-33.17%. Compared with the control treatment, the inoculation of medium-level of nitrogen had significant differences in various levels. In addition, compared with high nitrogen aseptic seedling, the distinctions in terms of Rn also reached a remarkable level. The root urease activity and pH were also improved by inoculated mycorrhizae. Inoculation with mycorrhizal increased soil urease activity by15.1%-28.9%and reduced the pH of root soil, reaching1.7%-3.1%.(3) In different combinations of water and nitrogen treatments, seedlings inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi can all promote the seedlings’growth, increase the WUE of seedlings and the nitrogen concentration, and save water and fertilizer. The treatment9(inoculation of nitrogen60%θf)is the optimal treatment.
