China has rich larch resources. However, some defects of larch wood such as poor drying performance and rich resin containing make it less valuable and its resources wasteful. Using micro-explosion technology treating larch wood helps to improve the drying and degreasing effect of larch wood. Also, it is of great significance to realize the rational development and efficient use of larch wood resources and change the current situation of short supply of wood.In this paper, larch wood was used as the experimental material, and a method combing the normal-temperature and high-pressure micro-explosion with the conventional drying skim was used so as to explore the the effect and its law of micro-explosion pretreatment on drying and derosination of larch wood. Firstly, the orthogonal experiment was done to seek on which factors had significant influence on the drying rate and the content of turpentine oil. Then the single factor experiments with factors of significant influence were carried out separately, in which the average drying rate and turpentine oil content of the test specimen under different conditions were analyzed. Finally, the test samples under different conditions were observed by the scanning electron microscopy (SEM).The results showed that:(1) The factors of micro-explosion pressures and times had significant influence on the drying rate, and also on the content of turpentine oil.(2) The average drying rate would be increased with the augment of the pressure and times of micro-explosion, and the average drying rate of the test specimen pretreated by micro-explosion was1~1.41times of the untreated ones. (3) In addition, with the increasing of micro-explosion pressure and times, the content of turpentine oil would be decreased by5.4%~55.4%and the rate of derosination would be increased by2.3%~35.7%. So the effect of derosination was obviously improved.(4) The experiment of scanning electron microscopy observation discovered that the weaker parts of the wood cell such as pit membranes, the cell layer were destroyed so that they formed a new fluid entryway in the wood. Moreover, the damaged levels of wood inner structure varied according to the micro-exploration conditions.
