Carbamate pesticide, as a new type of the most widely used organic synthetic pesticide has caused an increasing attention due to the characteristics of high activity, medium toxicity and fast catabolism. Its consumption was higher than that of other pesticides, which ranked only second to the organophosphorus and organochlorine pesticide. With the increase use of the pesticides both in amount and in spectrum, more and more residues has accumulated in crops, vegetables, fruits, live stocks and poultry products, aquatic products, soil, water and done great harm to human health and the environment. Therefore in this paper, five kindtpyes of carbamate pesticides were studied to establish its their analysis and detection methods in different environmental media, alsoand the distribution status was studied and assayed the distribution situation of them in some culture areas and estuary cies oastalong the coastline of the Yellow Sea. Through experiments conclusions were obtained as follows:1. A method for detecting five type of carbamate pesticides in water and sediment was established by HPLC-MS/MS. The results showed that this method was applicable to carbamate pesticides monitoring in water and sediment.2. The results showed that the five carbamate pesticides are widely detected in the culture areas and estuaries along the coastline of the Yellow Sea. According to the pollution degree in different areas, the main pollutants are isoprocarb and carbaryl in the culture areas while carbaryl is dominant in the estuaries along the coastline of the Yellow Sea by using principal component analysis method. The reason may be related to the different use of the above pesticides by regional agricultural production, life and aquaculture.3. The forbidden carbofuran was detected in some rivers in this research. Though the content is very low, it has potential toxicity impact on aquatic products if it exists for a long time. Five carbamate pesticides were widely detected in different pollutant discharge outlets, which shows that they are common in water for production and life. The current research showed that the residue of this type of pesticide may create the potential toxicity impact on live stocks and aquatic products, which result in adverse effect on human health and ecological environment. Nowadays, there is short of normative monitoring method, relevant assessment standard. The establishment of standard detection method is urgently needed to provide technical and data support for further study of carbamate pesticides.
