Red clover is one of the most important Legumes and isoflavone exctracting plants, widely grown in the world. Different cultivars have different performance in productivity, isoflavone content, powdery midew and nutritional value. In this paper, in order to select excellent red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) resources or the most suitable variety cultivated in Lanzhou,6introduce red clover varieties were evaluated comprehensively from production performance, nutritive value, isoflavone content and powdery midew. And choose the better plants to establish the clones. The main results were as follows:(1) The phenophase of Minshan red clover is the shortest, and Astred is the longest, others are between Minshan and Astred.(2) The production of dry yield,1000-grain weight, protein content, the production performance and palatability is better. The protein content is the highest and crude fiber is lowest of Astred. The floret number of Minshan is the most. The leaf-stem radio of Colenso is the lowest.(3) The isoflavone content in different varieties is significant differences, and the isoflavone content sorting is Renegade> Astred> Cobbity> Sensation> Colenso> Minshan(4) The accumulating ability of isoflavone in red clover was:formononetin thorn> Biochain A>genistein>daizein.(5) It has significant disease focus in the early powdery mildew progression. The disease focus expanded and incidence increased as the powder mildew spreaded. And the distribution pattern change to homogeneous pattern. Sensation, Cobbity were the medium susceptible varieties while the others are high susceptible varieties.(6) Accroding to the gray correlation analysis, the Sensation was the best, while the Minshan red clover was the poorest.(7)Hydrothermal condition was the main factors to affect the survival for transplant, and the survival rate was higher when transplanted in the greenhouse during October in LanZhou.
