The contradiction of energy utilization and environmental protection gets worse with the development of Chinese economic and social. Based on Chinese energy structure form, in which coal is the major fossil fuel, and the urgent demand of environment, this paper aiming to resolve the problem of energy and environment from intersection between energy and chemical sciences. This research will provide an optional method for clean and effective coal utilization. Financially supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China, this paper proposes a novel energy system based on coal, analysis the overall characteristics of this system, and proves the feasibility of its key unit from multiple perspectives such as new energy system design, compareation of several systems and tests the key process of the system by experiment.Using the theory of system integration of cascaded conversion of fuel, reasonable utilization according to temperature and CO2high concentration capture, this paper proposes a novel co-production system of hydrogen and electricity based on coal partial gasification with CO2capture. This system has efficient energy convertion. Analysis by the software of Aspen plus, this paper shows the process of exergy transmit and destruction by exergy analysis; based on exergy analysis result, evaluate characters of major unit of this system, such as coal gasifier, gas turbine, steam turbine, with variable working condition. Figure out the key process of this system and show thermodynamic characteristics as function of these paremeters.Experimentally verificate coal partial gasification character, which is the key process of novel system. Use fix-bed reactor to finish small-scale experiment and test coal partial gasification character. By analysis the generation feature of production, determine category, partical size and quality of test sample; study impacts of gasification temperature, steam rate of flow and carrier gas rate of flow on coal partial gasification production and valid CO production rate. Explore coal gasification character by analysis gasification production and valid CO production rate as function of time; find out the key factor of coal gasification and prove the feasibility of coal partial gasification, by means of estimating valid carbon convertion rate as function of gasifiction condition at a certain time.Based on the model building method of novel system and similar assumption, this paper built series-type, series and parallel-type coal integrate co-procution system. Find out differents of exergy destruction of novel system and reference systems by exergy equilibrium analysis, show the specialty of exergy transmit and evaluate the design superiority of novel system; compare variable condition character of novel and reference systems by changing hydrogen to electricity ratio, evaluate the comparatial superiority of novel system.
