Recently, the research about vehicle Acceleration Slip Regulation(ASR) has made greatprogress, but very few for engineering machinery. Especially the advanced pavement staterecognition technology, it is within the foreseeable future to apply in engineering machinery. Inthis study, taking ZL50loader as the research object, went deep into the design and applicationof ASR used in engineering machinery which merged together with pavement state identificationtechnology.Firstly, through consulting lager amount of document, acquired the research status andapplication of control method and control strategy used in ASR. At the same time, tookengineering machinery working characteristic into consideration, searched for relatedachievements, and determined the direction of research. With the differential as a starting point, analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of current planetary differential and passive limitedslip differential. According to the working characteristics of the loader, a new type of hydraulicactive limited slip differential was designed and improved. Did analyzing of its structure andperformance and made sure that it could be used for the loader working environment.Secondly, modeled the engine, hydraulic torque converter, transmission, differential andother drive part of ZL50loader through the MATLAB. After achieving the curve fitting of workcharacteristic for different part, established the whole loader dynamic model. Designed ahigh-accuracy, highly real-time pavement state identification, which used the wheel slip rate andthe longitudinal acceleration as logic parameters. With the hydraulic active limited slipdifferential as control target, selected logical control as the control strategy, programmed controlprocess and control logic. Simulated this ASR for ZL50loader on the adhesion coefficientseparated pavement, and conclusion. The result of simulation shows that the new type hydraulic active limited slip differentialhas good performance in preventing the wheel excess spinning; the ASR which based on the pavement condition identification can timely inhibiting excessive wheel spin, improve tire-roadfriction condition utilization of the driving wheel greatly. While the driving wheel happen to overwheel slip, the limited slip differential under the control system could quickly keep the slip ratein a reasonable ratio, improving the driving force, then to achieve good dynamic performance.
