With the global economic development, people’sconsumption level has been improving, and increasingly focused on the dual physical andmental training, also promoted the rapid development of a tropical resort.Public space is a tropical resort an important part, it is for customers to rest, contacts,viewing, entertainment and a variety of resort living provides public places, it is thecomposition of space at the resort has a certain degree of particularity and inevitability. Thisresort hotel in the existing theoretical studies abroad, based on the object of study identified asa representative of tropical resort hotel’s public spaces, and field research of Hainan YalongBay, Mid-Peninsula, and other places Qixianling many well-known resort hotels,supplemented by some guiding significance on the international tropical resort case,combined with their participation in the actual project, hoping from multiple angles morecomprehensive analysis and summary of tropical resort hotel public space design.The article first from a tropical resort concept and types of talk, leads thesis object-tropical resort hotel’s public spaces, analyzes its importance and impact of its design focus onanalyzing factors and by the basic design of these factors leads principles to study for laterform a clear context. Then describes its typical components: entrance space, lobby space,corridor and terrace space, outdoor space features, a brief description. This article is dividedinto four chapters three to six chapters were several parts of these specific studies havefocused on the various sections of its functional layout, grasp the scale, streamlineorganizational, cultural expressions, creating an atmosphere so for space analysis, andsummed up the general design method, followed by the design approach applied to theparticipation of the author to verify the actual project and guide the design.
