As a significant part of the Avionics system, data link system whose function is increasingly powerful, receiving so much attention with the development of civil aircraft business. As a terminal the cockpit display and control system developed slowly in the past few years due to various reasons such as the lack of a unified industry-wide specification or the vigorous carry out of measures to safety certification. This thesis seeks to explore the design methods and processes of cockpit display and control system based on the ARINC661specification via implementing the ATS(Air Traffic Service) application of civil aircraft data link.This thesis explores in depth the principles and ideas of the ARINC661specification designing CDS, and comes up with three key points:CDS(Cockpit Display System), UA(User Application), XML DF(Definition File). CDS is the "Eyes"-a direct source of information with a core composed of various components; UA is the "Brain"-it’s responsible for logic processing; DF is the "Nerve"-the bridge between CDS and UA. Based on this, a common development platform was used to implement the design of XML DF and CDS interface.Next, this thesis accomplished the implementation of the ATS application by developing the429communication module,661Communication module and the ATS message processing module respectively. That is to say, UA not only have the ability to interact with data service providers (DSPs) and display control terminal, but also the ability to process logic and data.At last, we used IMA technology and AFDX bus technology to build up the platform where ATS application resides and interaction network, with which a integral display and control system oriented at the ATS application of civil aircraft data link system was accomplished. The actual testing and commissioning proved that the system has a good performance in openness, versatility and stability due to the design principles of ARINC661specification. The display and control system designed in this thesis conforms to industry standards and basically meets practical needs, and there exists great potential and broad prospects for the achievements.
