Ultralight Auto Body is one of the most efficient mean. Tailor Rolled Blank arises at the historic moment to adapt the development requirement of ultralight Auto Body.This technology according to the different load on body of vehicle roll different thickness plate.But thedifference between TRB and TWB is continuous changes in its thickness,without weld so have a better formability.Thus,if autobody parts were rolled by TRB technology,can improve the strength, stiffness and collision performance of autobody parts as well as mitigate the vehicle mass.However,TRB as a new plate,many aspects also in searching stage.This paper further analysis the formability and application of TRB. Firstly,as square box an example,through the combination of experiments and finite element simulation to study various process parameters on the TRB square box stamping.The result shows, the formability of TRB square box decreased with the increase of plate size;the formability of plates increased as its shape change from square to circle; the formability of plates decreased with the increase of plates thickness ratio;friction coefficient and presence of drawbead both affect the formability.Then analysis the application of TRB on anterior anti-collision bumper, make the unitform thickness blank, TWB, TRB head-on collision with rigid column,respectively.Through comparison of three energy absorbtion,displacement,velocity and acceleration time curve,obtained a conclusion:contrast with the unitform thickness blank.TWB bumper s displacement declines26%,the velocity declines24%,the mass declines7.3%;TRB bumper s displacement declines43%,the velocity declines58.4%,the mass declines13.2%.In this paper, the author study the TRB stamping performance and the application in the front bumper.It explores the various process parameters on the effect of the TRB and application in the front bumper,it will be important for the TRB s body structure and application. |
