Great deals of the action between wave and horizontal both at home and abroad are carried out, the existing achievement is fruitful. But the security of the vertical structure under wave impact has become the focus with structure becoming large and thin. Such as small rectangular oil tank. Pervious tanks are considered as a rigid to design without any consideration of elastic deformation, when the time of pressure impact of liquid sloshing and the wet cycle of elastic structure is similar or belong to the same order of magnitude, the dynamic response of the tank and fluid pressure may increase sharply, if it is over the design strength of tank, serious accidents will be happen. With regard to sheet-piled wharf, the wave reflection between ship and bank make the surrounding in the port is greatly different from open seas, the vertical plate or bank have a big impact on the floating structure and moored ships, reflection of the waves can cause the dynamic response of the structure and then make structural fatigue failure. So the research of the action between vertical plate and wave impact has important theoretical significance and engineering application valueIn this paper, the response in frequency domain and time domain is researched based on the linear potential theory. In frequency domain, the coupled equation of vertical plate under wave impact is built by velocity potential and work out the solution by the method of FED and mode-expansion, the vibration response under different wave parameter and boundary conditions with considering hydroelastic or not is analyzed and studied systematically.In time domain, the coupled equation of a vertical elastic plate under wave impact is presented using mode-expansion method, Fourier transform and Laplace transform, it can be sloved directly. The hydroelastic behavior of vertical plate is studied for various values of the plate stiffness and incident wave.Research shows that when the wave length is four time as much as the scale of vertical plate, the hydroelastic of plate is most obvious, the more the control boundaries, the more obvious the hydroelastic.
