Research On Collaborative Work Mechanism In Architectural Design Based On Agent Technology

Close cooperation and exchange of multi-level are the biggest features of architecturaldesign. In recent years, architectural design has become complex increasingly. Traditionalways of working have been unable to meet today’s competitive market and challenges fromhome and abroad. So, how to use computer technology to provide informationalized supportto architectural design, to collect the group design ability via the Internet, to realize theinformation and resource sharing during the collaborative design process, to improve thecollaborative work efficiency of the designers have an important practical significance to thefurther development of the architectural design industry as a whole.The CSCW has already widely used in the field of the architectural design, which hasimproved the quality and efficiency of collaboration. This paper emphasizes on the poorflexibility, lacking of initiative and other issues arising in the current model of collaborativework systems and construction methods. The concept of Agent will be integrated in designand implementation of CSCW system model to explore a more intelligent collaborative worksolution. First of all，under the usage of the Agent concept, this paper has establishedAgent-based Collaborative Work Auxiliary Support Model(ACWASM) which has theinitiative features. And each component and organizational structure of the model aredesigned in detail including the basic building unit model design model of Agent, model forsecure communication between Multi-Agent. Providing methodological support forACWASM application and implementation of the system based on ACWASM.Secondly, this paper analyzes the collaborative work mechanism of architectural design,including cooperative methods and collaborative design process among designers, analyzesthe demand of collaborative support among designers, and points out the insufficient ofcurrent collaborative design system simultaneously. Therefore, based on the ACWASM, thispaper works out the solution of collaborative architectural design with the features of higherefficiency, more initiative and intelligent.Finally, out of the program development, this paper has made a detailed design forspecific realization method of applying the ACWASM in the development of applicationsystem, and proposed a complete set of implementation scheme, and according to the formerprinciple and methods, the paper has realized the example of collaborative design systembased on ACWASM, and elaborately explain the realization details and efficiency of living example. On the one hand, it proves the good feasibility of model and method proposed bythis paper. On the other hand, it confirms this system which is developed based on this modelcan effectively improve the quality and efficiency of architectural design work, and equipswith a good application value.
