Due to material deterioration, structure aging and changing of using function, many steel concrete structures need to be repaired and reinforced in long time servicing. Now as a new kind of reinforcement material, FRP has been widely applicated and promoted by virtue of superior performances such as light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, easy construction and so on. Through experimental researches and practices, FRP used in strengthening of structure can obviously improve flexural capacity and stiffness of structure member, which is a simple and effective method.Basing on the existing research result, firstly this paper generalizes the research situation of FRP reinforcement area in detail. Secondly the influence factors to cracking moment of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with FRP are analyzed, and the computing method of cracking moment is put forward. At the same time, this paper also gives the suggested values of plastic coefficient of sectional resistance moment toward CFRP and BFRP respectively. Thirdly using nonlinear static balance test method, a C++program is developed to analyze the nonlinear process of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with FRP. Lastly this paper comprehensively analyzes the influence factors to flexural capacity of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with FRP. In the case of introducing reduction factor of resultant force, the calculation formula of flexural capacity is proposed under three kinds of circumstances (single rectangular section, double rectangular section and t-shaped section), which is used in three kinds of damage states (appropriate reinforcement damage I, appropriate reinforcement damage â…¡ and concrete crushing damage).Furthermore, this paper also gives the recommended values of reduction coefficient toward CFRP and BFRP respectively..
