For the subway station with Platform screen doors, the UPE/OTE system have been widely used in the rail line zone. It will delay the construction time limit due to the implementation of the UPE/OTE must after the shield machine having pass the station. So it is necessary for us to conduct research and analysis on the tunnel area smoke control design, propose more effective design to reduce the difficulty of implementation.This paper demonstrates feasibility of cancelling the UPE/OTE system and make it into station smoke control system after checking the domestic and foreign metro design literature. The new smoke exhaust design idea is as follows:use the tunnel longitudinal flow and natural ventilation with train external fire and switch to tunnel fan jointly smoke mode with train interior fire.Firstly, this thesis create station model with no partition doors between cars using FDS software, and then do some research on different exhaust combinations with train external fire. Studies have shown that most of the smoke will gather in the middle of two stairs with the increase of the volume flow of tunnel, increase the gas exhaust volume of fire area is the most efficiency mode, the amount of smoke exhaust value is35m3/s. The minimum smoke exhaust volume of single tunnel is20m3/s with fire in the end of the train.Train with no partition doors is used in Chengdu Metro, this paper do some research on smoke exhaust strategy with train external fire and train interior fire. The minimum smoke exhaust volume of single tunnel is10m3/s using tunnel jointly exhaust strategy and be20m3/s if shutting down the tunnel fan. with fire in the train. Natural smoke can meet the requirements of the evacuation with train external fire but a small amount of smoke will enter into the station, enlarge the volume of rail line zone can solve the problem and the distance between the train and the top of the subway tunnel area will be1.4meter.Lastly, the paper study the tunnel ventilation design based on tunnel fan jointly exhaust mode with no UPE/OTE system using Fluent. Studies have shown that increase the tunnel fan exhaust volume, open the adjacent interval tunnel fan and the installation of jet fans all can make the tunnel boundary wind velocity to meet the design requirements and the installation of jet fans is the most efficiency. When do Engineering design, we should allocate the rational tunnel fan after having taken into account of the type of train, the structure of the site, the opening area of the stairs and fire simulation results.
