A large number of tunnel’s construction has played a important role to promote regional economic development and national defense construction. However, due to the impact of design、construction material and geological factors. a lot of tunnel emerged the problem of water leakage, the water leakage of tunnel has been the long-standing problem of which affect the tunnel quality and service life, and also the headache problem which troubled the experts.The water leakage brought to the deterioration of tunnel structure in service and the around environmental consequence is very serious, mainly has the following several points: First, the tunnel water leakage can accelerate the carbonation velocity of concrete structure; Second, the tunnel water leakage can greatly increased the air humidity, and damaged the normal function of rail, communications, lighting and other facilities, and then shorten its service life; Third, the tunnel water leakage may also reduce the level of ground water, and damaged the ecological environment; Fourth, in cold regions, the tunnel water leakage may freeze in winter, and the formed ice column will invade clearance, cause traffic accidents.This paper summarized and analyzed the commonly used drainage facilities in open-cut tunnel from the analysis of the groundwater’s occurrence type and its effects to the underground structure. Based on it,this paper put forwards the waterproof thought of giving priority to prevention, combining prevention with control and key designing to key parts, under the guidance of the prevention measures of maintainability and strengthening water drainage, this paper made a preliminary study on waterproof techniques of the open-cut tunnel which in rich-water zone combined with the open-cut tunnel engineering in railway passenger dedicated line of Chengmianle;At last, this paper described the characteristics and causes of water leakage in an open-cut tunnel in rich water zone,and then this paper made some researches to the leakage water techniques of the open-cut tunnel in rich water zone according to the present situation of water leakage and the requirements to water leakage control of railway tunnel, combined with the water leakage control and the evaluation of treatment effect of the open-cut tunnel engineering in railway passenger dedicated line of Chengmianle.
