Waste heat boiler is constantly devoloping in the direction of large-scale.The flow and heat transfer process of the internal flue gas is very complicated. For the large-scale waste heat boiler design technology and understanding of the operating characteristics of the large-scale waste heat boiler, understanding and mastering the furnace flow, temperature distribution through traditional tests which can only get a limited amount of data is much needy. So the use of numerical simulation has become an effective means which can make up for the deficiencies of the traditional tests. And it’s also an effective way to grasp the detailed information within the flow field and temperature field of the waste heat boiler accurately. To make the furnace structure design meet the requirements as much as possible, it is necessary to learn more about the process and ways of the furnace heat transfer, flow, and pollutant formation. The numerical simulation method is an effective means to study the above process, from the initial furnace design to the geometry optimization, they all can be carried out with the CFD software.To improve the utilization of energy, Researching furnace heat transfer process is the focus of the technological innovation. CFD software help to build a physical model of the waste heat boiler, the temperature field of the flow field numerical simulation, its low cost, and can get more information, which provide the basis for the renovation and structure design of the waste heat boiler. The topic is based on China enfi engingeering corporation, typical furnace simulation.This paper briefly outlines the structure development forms scholars’research status and achievements of the the waste heat boiler, on the basis of previous studies, the theoretical analysis of the numerical simulation of turbulence, heat conduction, convection and radiative transfer hot computational theory are summarized, and estabedthe mathematical model of the overall flow field numerical simulation of the temperature field calculation. Reasonable for typical waste heat boiler structure simplifies modeling, using the constant wall temperature boundary conditions, turbulence model and radiation model for the numerical simulation results, the choice of a reasonable Realizable turbulence model, DO radiation heat transfer model, a steady-state simulation of flow and heat transfer in the waste heat boiler, the detailed information of the flow field, temperature field inside the waste heat boile, waste heat boiler comparative analysis with the HRSG standard design, validation calculated The accuracy of the model. Also pointed out problems in the actual experimental test, the experimental results were analyzed.Finally, on the basis of numerical simulation, the internal flow and heat transfer numerical simulation platform are devoloped, which developed by using the Visual Studio integrated development environment, and application programming C#language, the development of the application interface. The platform can easily bring up the typical intuitive structure, internal flow field and temperature field, flow charts, and other information.
