The higher vertical bearing capacity, the fast speed of construction and high overall efficiency is the advantage of concrete filled steel tube frame (CFST-F), but the low lateral stiffness, the little energy dissipation of the structure under rare earthquake makes the frame joint, corresponding story location and non-structural element damage seriously. A proposed scheme is given that the structure system with damper could improve the seismic performance of CFST-F, the lateral stiffness of this structure is high, the brace would not buckling and dampers plays the role of seismic energy dissipation. In this way, the numerical simulation and parameter analysis on the seismic behavior of frame is performed in this paper. The main research work is showed as below:(1) The experiment of seismic performance on CFST frames with Bucking-restrained brace (BRB) and the common CFST frames is performed and the research result of other scholar are analyzed and summarized. The concluded is that9design parameters about the impact of seismic performance and damping effect of the CFST-F is given.(2) Based on the test model of CFST-F (BRB) above, finite element model is established and verified separately using OPENSEES and ABAQUS. The numerical results showed that the numerical modeling of CFST-F established in this two software is correct and effective.(3) In orther to study the seismic behavior influence law of the nine design parameters on the frames with dampers, pseudo-static numerical simulation and parameter analysis are tested in CFST-F with dampers on the Opensees platform.(4) Nonlinear time history numerical simulation for CFST-F with viscous dampers is conducted basing on the Opensees platform. The influence law of different site classification, different damper parameters and different earthquake action on the seismic behavior of CFST-F is studied, and the reasonable value of the viscous damper is given.(5) Based on the reasonable design parameters value of CFST-F with dampers, the contrastive analysis of the two damping control scheme with BRB and VD on the seismic behavior and damping effect under minor earthquake and rare earthquake respectively is performed, using the finite element software-ETABS. The results show that:the damping effect of the two schemes is obviously and the seismic performance of the frame is improved.
