The space source DOA estimation has become an important research field in underswater acoustics. Traditional acoustic pressure hydrophone does not have directivity, so it can not locate the space source. Compared with the pressure hydrophone, acoustic vector sensor has obvious advantages, it can obtain not only sound pressure in the acoustic field, but also can get velocity information, so it has the capability of source localization.In this thesis, we take the single vector hydrophone and the array as the research object, and introduce the DOA estimation algorithm and error calibration method. The main contents are as follows:Introducing the working principle of the single vector hydrophone in brief, describing the classical MUSIC algorithm based on single vector hydrophone, and proposing the improved MUSIC algorithm, improving the resolution for the close source.Introducing the working principle of the vector hydrophone array, describing the TCT algorithm of the wideband DOA estimation based on the vector hydrophone array. Bringing to introducing the quaternion theory, put forward wideband DOA estimation algorithm based on the quaternion reducing the computational complexity and data storage space and improving the precision of DOA estimation.Analysising the effects result in the single vector hydrophone sensor gain is not inconsistent and the posture is not straight, and coming up with the corresponding calibration method.Analysising the effects result from the the vector hydrophone array position error, and presenting the calibration method based on matrix reconstruction and the PSO algorithm.
