With the rapid development of the Internet of Things and Smart City, the various countries of the world have already invested a lot of manpower, material resources in the research of this field. Especially the study of intelligent public transport system has become an important part of the Smart City research, and above all, the intelligent vehicle terminal information collection and transmission is always the key point of the study. From the technical point of view, the information collection and communication of intelligent transportation has a clear set of features.Thus, how to solve these problems more effectively and reliably is a grand challenge in intelligent transportation.The system is based on embedded systems, with the integration of the Beidou navigation and positioning technology, sensor technology and wireless communication technology. It is able to acquire real-time data of Beidou navigation and positioning information, as well as the temperature data, and so on, which is sent to the control center of the intelligent transportation system through wireless communication module. The control center can send the orders to the vehicle terminal for the supervision of real-time tracking. Beidou navigation system is reliable both from a security point of view and a technical point of view. The Beidou navigation module contains the design and programming of Beidou navigation chip circuit, and acquisition and parsing the Beidou navigation data, to facilitate vehicle positioning and navigation services. In order to facilitate intelligent transportation vehicles intelligent scheduling, AD data acquisition module of the system, collects a variety of information, such as the number of persons on the vehicle, the door open and close status, fuel consumption, driving status and so on. In this way, the control center can make appropriate smarter scheduling policy, more efficient and convenient management of vehicle operation.In the vehicle wireless and wired communication network, the TCP protocol is essential on transport layer. In order to solve the communication problem between the vehicle terminal and control center, the system designs a set of application-layer communication protocol, and puts an emphasis on TCP optimization problem in vehicle communication.For vehicle communication node mobility, high error rate and changed bandwidth, we propose a congestion control strategy to dynamically adjust the slow start threshold based on available bandwidth. The program is based on the current load capacity of the network, to improve TCP congestion control algorithm. Experiments show that the design of information collection and transmission of each functional module is running well and stably;and through simulation experiment the TCP improvement program achieves the desired effect, and improves performance and the utilization of network bandwidth.
