| The characteristics of ancient Chinese architecture are based on wooden frame with different in form, beautiful in outline, skilled in sculpture, pretty in pictures. Colored painting on the architecture is one of the important characteristics of ancient Chinese architecture. Its beautiful decoration, harmonious colors and exquisite technology have added artistic spirituality to ancient Chinese architecture. Because colored painting on the architecture is difficult to preserve, and due to the influences of human factors and natural environment factors, as the time passes by, these paintings have been subjected to varying degrees of damages. They are precious, fragile and non-renewable cultural resources, once damaged, it means eternal demise. Although repairing and redrawing can be carried out by later generations, there are authentic differences with the original paintings. In fact, the ancient painting on the architecture can not exist forever, it will eventually disappear. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a rescue protection on existing precious ancient paintings, so they can last longer. To the maximum extent record and retain the disappearing ancient painting art is the responsibility entrusted by history. This paper carries out a case study on early Ming official architecture paintings, which are divided into several parts according to the times. Based on specific examples, it summarizes the characteristics of architecture paintings in different periods. Focusing on the development of architecture paintings in Ming Dynasty. From the perspectives of composition characteristics, color combination and ornamentation, it conducts a systematic discussion on the aesthetic features in the form of architecture paintings, exploring the decoration ideas and artistic styles of official architecture paintings in the early Ming period, and attempts to carry it forward, applies into the design practice, so that the ancient Chinese architecture paintings can shine with new vitality in the contemporary era. |
