In recent years, the civil building fire resistance research obtained the sufficient development, and the steel structure workshop in petrochemical enterprises do fire resistance research are relatively few. This paper selected some petrochemical enterprise ethylene engineering of ethylene/propylene compressor workshop as the research object, the factory adopts steel structure, fire risk class is A class A, when A fire started to heat up faster higher hydrocarbon fire temperature, the steel structure factory building fire resistance research.In this paper, based on the simulation software FDS and the PyroSim, consider building size, production process, heat release rate, ignition location, combustible hot combustion properties, initial conditions and window and door openings and other factors of fire scenario, discussed the setting method, sum up the application of skills, and the numerical Simulation for the some different fire scene design.Through the numerical simulation of the fire scenario, concludes that the plant fire size, visibility to the indoor temperature field under fire and smoke and affects the structural response of the steel structure factory building and fire safety index to make analysis, concludes that the compressor plant high temperature danger zone.Through the analysis of temperature field, determine that "the most dangerous fire scenario", choose "the most dangerous fire scenario" temperature field as the workshop of the indoor temperature field under fire, to take its temperature and assume that the fire the whole process in a state of the temperature of constant temperature. According to the principle of heat transfer, the workshop of steel members do heat calculation, determine the safety performance, and fire protection recommendations for the workshop.
